I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I am a Certified EMDR therapist & a Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist. These are two very effective evidence-based therapies for Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Phobias & Eating disorders. I am also an EMDR Approved Consultant, CRPO Supervisor and IFS informed EMDR Certified Consultant.
My education has been in the field of Counselling and Psychology. I hold a Masters in Counselling (specialization in Educational Psychology) from the University of Calgary and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. Following my enduring commitment to learning, and spreading knowledge, I have started my PhD in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy in September 2024.
Over the years, I have grown my skills as a consultant by facilitating IFS Level 1 trainings with the IFS Institute and IFS informed EMDR trainings with the Syzygy Institute. At Infinity Psychotherapy, I provide clinical consultation and supervision for other therapists seeking professional development and clinical competence in these modalities, and CRPO Supervision for therapists qualifying for CRPO.
With over nine years of experience as a psychotherapist, the focus of my work has been on treating PTSD and relational trauma. I believe the hallmark of therapeutic success is the relationship between clients and the therapist. I try my level best to provide my clients with unconditional positive regard and wholeheartedly focus on understanding their experience with genuine curiosity and compassion. My goal as the therapist is to help clients connect with their inner wisdom and feel truly understood, valued and connected. This helps collaboratively implement an effective treatment plan, and ensures clients meet their goals.
I live in Waterloo, Ontario with my husband and two kids (14 year old and 6 year old). In my spare time, I love reading, learning (anything and everything), watching movies, cleaning and organizing, being in nature and hiking on trails in forests or around lakes (especially the Georgian Bay).
