I believe that one of the most important factors for therapeutic success is the bond between the therapist and the client, followed by an agreement on the goals and tasks of therapy.
The first step of therapy involves getting to know each other and an intake assessment. After that, we explore and identify concrete goals that you would like to achieve through therapy. I would then explain the therapeutic interventions that I may use to support you in achieving your goals. I am trained in many different modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) , Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Deep Brain Re-orientating (DBR) and Structural Dissociation Theory. I will develop a treatment plan based on your preferences and needs. Once we identify your therapeutic goals and a treatment plan, we are ready to start!
